As a rule, I hate Christmas. I know so many people love it, but I just find it stressful. Our antique shop gets really busy in the lead-up, it’s the end of the school year here in New Zealand so there’s heaps happening at school, and the weather is starting to heat up. Add to that the financial stress…. I just don’t like it. I love the family aspect of it, but I hate how stressful it is for so many. So I want to pay-it-forward a bit. In my reader group on FB here I’ve put up a post where everyone who wants to posts their Amazon wishlists and anyone who is able, grants a wish. I’d love for you to come and join me! If you’re struggling to buy gifts, or just want to be spoiled - post your wishlist! If you’re able, grant someone’s wish. My hope is that everyone who participates will get a wish granted so please come and join in :)
To get you in the spirit of Christmas, there are three Christmas-themed books in my newsletter today - two from me and one from the lovely, talented Pepper North! I’m also sharing a new book from one of my favourite western romance authors Maggie Carpenter. Scroll down for bookish news :)
Her Fake Fiance is a short, sweet but steamy insta-romance with a touch of humour. It’s a typical Kiwi Christmas setting - outdoor buffet-style lunch with all the rellies, and the usual dysfunctional family drama. One reader says this may be my best book yet! It’s available as an ebook and in paperback at all the online retailers :)
Daddy Takes Over Christmas is also short and sweet but spicy, recently rebranded. It used to be known as “A Naughty Little Christmas” and was originally in the Mischief Under the Mistletoe Anthology several years ago. It’s a bonus Christmas-themed novella set at the same stables as Daddy Takes the Reins and Daddies Take Control and features both Jen and Bianca, and Clay as Santa. It’s full of pranks, fun and spankings! Just double-check before you buy it that you don’t already have it because it has been out a while. It’s also available in ebook and paperback, everywhere :)
I hope you all have a great weekend! I look forward seeing all your Amazon wishlists!
